C5 starts Britain’s Ticket Wars

May, 19 |

Viacom-owned Channel 5 in the UK has ordered a spin-off from Plimsoll Productions’ popular factual show Britain’s Parking Hell.

Britain’s Ticket Wars, again from Bristol-based Plimsoll, takes a deeper look at the UK’s most outrageous ticketing incidents and the people who refuse to take their fines lying down.

The one-off special tracks citizens from across the country who have received parking tickets as they battle their cases, including the owners of a hearse that was nearly towed mid-funeral in London.

It has been commissioned by Denise Seneviratne for C5, with Karen Plumb, head of factual entertainment at Plimsoll, exec producing alongside Amy Joyce. Magnify Media is the distributor.

Britain’s Ticket Wars is the attest addition to Plimsoll’s slate, which includes Hostile Planet for Nat Geo in the US and season two of Yellowstone Live, which will premiere this summer. Alaska Live, also for NatGeo, is also in the works, as is natural history series Tiny World for Apple.
